Who can do yoga?
Anybody can do yoga at ANY age. Free consultations are available at the center.
Do I need to be flexible to attend a yoga class?
No. Yoga helps those with limited flexibility by making their muscles more elastic and youthful with time.
What should I wear to yoga class?
Wear comfortable clothing in which you can move around, that is not too loose.
What should I bring with me?
Bring your mat if you have one, or you can borrow ours. At our Boutique there are mats available for purchase as well. If you prefer, you can also bring a towel to absorb sweat and a bottle of water.
If I have never done yoga before, what is the best class to attend?
We offer an Introduction to Yoga 5-week course (4 Intro classes, 1 regular class FREE) that we recommend to anybody who has never tried yoga before where all students are new to yoga. It is a great way to ease into a yoga practice. Please see our “Intro to Yoga “ page for more information.
What if I cannot attend a full 5-week course?
If you cannot attend the 5-week Intro to Yoga course, you can start with our Gentle yoga classes or the Beginner, level 1 classes where you can let the instructor know that you are brand new.
Can I do yoga with an injury or medical condition?
If you have any injuries or condition, please check with your doctor before signing up for a class. Before class let the instructor knows about your condition so you will receive the right modifications needed.
Can I practice yoga if I am pregnant?
First ask your doctor if yoga would be suitable during your pregnancy. We have classes specially designed for pregnant women throughout the whole pregnancy that we recommend to any expectant women to improve the flexibility of the muscles involved in childbirth and learn breathing techniques to relieve pain (useful at delivery) instructed by a certified prenatal yoga teacher.
